Agree that sleep is elementary in your life. During sleep, your mind still learning following an impossible process to achieve when awake. Sleep restores and refreshes your body in a multitude of ways that can only happen when you are awake. Do not devalue sleep. The supposed ability of some people to be content with only four hours of sleep per night is the exception not the rule. Most of us need a sleep cycle of six to eight hours to be in shape.
